Refund Disclaimer
Consultation Fees: Consultation fees are non-refundable. This means that fees paid for initial consultations or case evaluations will not be refunded, regardless of whether the client chooses to proceed with legal representation.
Attorney Fees: Attorney fees are partially refundable in cases where the time spent working on the case does not exceed the total fees paid. If the attorney has not yet completed the agreed-upon tasks or if the case is terminated early due to circumstances beyond the attorney's control, the attorney may be entitled to retain a portion of the fees to compensate for the time and effort already expended.
Flat Fees: For cases where a flat fee has been agreed upon, early termination due to the client's breach of contract may result in a recalculation of the fees. In such cases, the attorney will determine the actual time spent working on the case and apply the hourly rate to calculate the appropriate fees. If the actual time spent is less than the amount covered by the flat fee, the client may be entitled to a refund. However, if the actual time spent is greater than the amount covered by the flat fee, the client may owe a balance.
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of service termination. If a refund is not applicable, the outstanding balance will be due within 30 days of termination.
Please note that this is a general disclaimer and may not apply to all situations. It is recommended that clients consult with their attorney to discuss specific refund policies and procedures.
